Unique Interaction is going to be in a movie!
I just met the movie producer that is going to be using our office, to shot his short film that is about a Filipino call center agent that meets an American that is working for a call center in the Philippines, I can’t go in to details because I don’t want to kill the movie but its going to be great.
They are going to be using our office to shoot some of the film starting next week!
We are very excited to be apart of this project and hope that the movies does very well.
This movie is being done by the NYU, so it should be pretty good.

100 killed in India attacks
Just this morning terrorist attracted coordinated place in Mumbai India, leave more then 100 dead. One of the worse parts is that the terrorist were searching for Americans and British to take hostage for what ever reason.
Now what I want to know is how this is going to affect India in the long run with outsourcing because in the last couple of years there has been many terrorist attacks in main cities.
Does this mean that people looking to outsource will not consider India or just that they will outsource there but will not go there.
Lets do a poll
Obama wins US election
Congrats Obama on winning, I hope the US economy is going to go up now.
Keep is simple
As some of you know or have seen we lost our google ranking for what ever reason, so I decide that I was going to go through the whole site and do a clean up.
I thought about last night after looking at the site thinking maybe there is to much on the site, to many things to choose from so I trimmed it back to ABC packages, seat leasing 400 package b flat 800 and C 1000 for full service.
Now from what I know not many call centers are offering services like this at this price, so I think it will be a good impact on the market.

Phone Skills
When I was still a trainee in my first call center, one thing that I really appreciate the most is my training for phone skills, or what others might call call handling skills. As a trainee, I really dont have any idea on how I would handle my first customer, but after finishing that course, it really made a difference.
Phone skills doesn’t necessarily mean accent or things like that, phone skills are more on the communication side of things, how to listen properly to your customers, how to bridge back to your pitch when you got lost during your conversation with your customers. Phone skills will let handle irate customers, start a conversation, deliver your pitch properly and handle objections effectively.
With proper phone skills, a simple sales pitch will sound more interesting to a customer, it would help make the customers feel that they know what you are saying and that you are good on what your doing. It will help make them feel at ease and confident with your product. After all. the phone is the only way that we communicate with them, so why not make it our forte.

Financial Meltdown?
I was listening to the news this morning and this term caught my attention, global financial meltdown. that sounded scary. Because of this, a lot of Filipino OFWs are on the verge of losing their jobs and coming home to the Philippines pre-maturely.
We in the call center industry shouldn’t worry though, says one of the business analyst that was interviewed on that show, he said the it would be much more costly for the foreign companies to move their operation back to the US compared to just keeping it here in the Philippines.
I don’t want to sound selfish or anything but I have to say that at least, that news was not 100% bad.

Call Centers in Bicol
I went to Legaspi City in Bicol about a couple of weeks ago, and during my stay, I think I saw at least ten company advertisement looking for Call Center Agents. We are talking of a place that is a twelve hour bus ride from Manila, It just goes to show that call centers are really popping out in the provinces.
Its probably safe to say that in the very near future, there will be an equal number of call centers in the province as here in our major business district.
